Marking the start of the festive calendars, on Thursday 27 November 2025, Suicide&Co, a leading charity for those bereaved by suicide, is throwing the party of the year with its Breaking the Ice Ball – and you’re invited. Set under the iconic arches of the Natural History Museum, one of London’s most impressive buildings, dig out your bowties and black tie gowns for a night of fine dining, spectacular entertainment and dancing, with all proceeds going straight to this important cause.
In 2023, 6,069 people died by suicide in England and Wales, and for each loss, between six and 135 people are left bereaved. Research shows that those affected are almost three times more at risk of suicidal ideation themselves, and around 10 per cent of these individuals will attempt to take their own lives, while eight per cent will withdraw from education or resign from their job. In the face of these staggering figures, Suicide&Co is on a mission to debunk the stigma around suicide and grief, while providing fundamental, timely and compassionate support to those who have experienced such a life-changing loss.

The Breaking the Ice Ball, named to symbolise the shattering of connotations associated with suicide and open up the conversation around suicide-related grief, aims to raise £250,000 for the charity. This will directly fund 8,333 counselling sessions or support 464 individuals through full recovery and empowerment programmes designed to prevent the deterioration of mental health after the trauma of losing a loved one.
The ball promises an evening to remember, combining glamour and festive fun with an opportunity to raise awareness, fundraise and make a difference to such a serious matter. Tickets include a decadent three-course meal, plus live entertainment from world-class performers and a fabulous auction with money-can’t-buy prizes (more details to be announced soon). Previous gala auctions have included an exclusive stay at Soneva Fushi in the Maldives and artworks by Tracy Emin, so expect big things.

Organised by the charity’s hugely devoted and dedicated committee, this year’s event is being supported by headline partner McLaren, media partner Luxury London, catering by Zafferano and brands including Sapling Spirits. This is certainly an event you don’t want to miss out on. While the Frost tier tickets are now sold out, Crystal and Glacier tables are still available, welcoming a mix of corporate and individual hosting tables for guests to enjoy. Walk, run, dance to get yours now.
