Goodwood Festival of Speed may be the biggest motoring celebration of the summer but, as we head into autumn, the West Sussex Estate turns its attention to all things classic, welcoming guests to another season of roaring engines, sartorial excellence and sparkling tipples at Goodwood Revival.
Held from 6 to 8 September 2024, Goodwood Revival promises an immersive celebration of glamorous classic motoring and vintage fashion. The weekend will see an array of races – including a tribute to eight-time World Champion John Surtees – set to run exclusively on sustainable fuels. With a stunning line-up of events every day, Sunday’s adrenaline-fuelled final races in particular are a must-see for racing enthusiasts.
So who will be getting behind the wheel? Goodwood Revival attracts a host of famous faces and motor racing talents. At the 2024 event, guests will be able to spot Formula 1 legends, including Sir Jackie Stewart and Jacques Villeneuve, enjoying the supercharged atmosphere while David Brabham, Derek Bell, Karun Chandhok, Festival of Speed hillclimb record holder Max Chilton, and two-time Formula E Champion Jean-Éric Vergne will be busy on the circuit.
So, that’s the petrol heads taken care of, but if fashion is more your thing Goodwood Revival won’t disappoint. Held entirely in a period theme, guests are encouraged to wear vintage fashion from the 1940s, ‘50s, and ‘60s, while the event will also be home to a pre-loved shopping arcade, panel talks from style experts, and the hugely competitive Best Dressed competition. Also make time to head over to the Revive & Thrive stage where insiders and influencers will share their style expertise and skilled craftspeople will be on hand to show guests how to repair and renew their much-loved pieces.
Ready to get your hands on a ticket? They’re going fast, with only a limited number of general admission tickets now available for Sunday, while Friday and Saturday tickets are sold out. The silver lining, however, is that you can still attend via Goodwood Revival’s exceptional hospitality packages, which offer early event access and fantastic views of the races.
Celebrate a special event or host corporate guests at the Goodwood Mess which promises the most luxurious viewing experience at the event. Located next to the start and finish line, it offers unrivalled trackside views, an informal garden and paddock passes to get up close to all the cars, motorcycles, drivers and mechanics. Guests will also be able to enjoy breakfast, a champagne reception, lunch and afternoon tea, alongside a complimentary selection of beers, wines and soft drinks. Plus, an event programme, race card and radio earpiece will ensure you don’t miss a moment of the high-speed proceedings.
For those who prefer al fresco dining, The Putting Green makes for a great base from which to enjoy the wheel-to-wheel action, both on-track and in the paddocks. Enjoy a brunch buffet, decadent afternoon tea, and unlimited beers, wines and soft drinks under the beautiful canopy before exploring the delights of Goodwood’s members’ club, The Kennels. Not keen on standing throughout the races? Head to the Roving Grandstands for a prime seat sheltered from the sun or rain.
Elsewhere, escape the hustle and bustle of Goodwood Revival at The Barracks. This relaxed space offers a private garden area and easy access to views along the Lavant Straight and Woodcote Corner. A casual option, it promises a delicious brunch and afternoon cakes as well as livestreams of the races should you wish to relax indoors.
Whether you’re cheering by the finish line, showing off your finest vintage frocks or enjoying a sparkling tipple, you’re sure to have a great time at Goodwood Revival. And with the hospitality team taking care of your every need, all you need be concerned about is what to wear and who to cheer for. Get set, go!
