Clays

Cocktails and clay shooting don’t typically go hand in hand. In fact, we strongly recommend steering clear from mixing the two. Unless you happen to be at Clays – the indoor interactive clay shooting venue which brings the rolling British countryside to the heart of the city, accompanied by delicious food and drink and lively entertainment. With locations in Canary Wharf and Moorgate (and Soho set to open later this year), as well as further north in Birmingham, a day out at Clays is the perfect summer activity for friends, family and colleagues.

Once you’ve secured your shooting peg and picked your game, from Power Play to Bonanza and Moonshot (to name just a few), it’s time to put your shooting skills to the test and unleash your competitive spirit. Aim for virtual targets on the high-definition screens: it’s all about accuracy, speed, beating your friends, and, of course, having fun. Go as a duo (it’s a perfect first date activity) or team up in groups and enjoy sessions of up to 90 minutes.

Clays

All that thrilling activity left you in need of refreshment? Clays offers a fabulous selection of bites to keep your energy levels high. The menu has been crafted by culinary director Roger Olsson – formerly of The Dorchester and The Ritz – so expect big things (and a strong focus on sustainability). From the likes of courgette croquettes and fluffy bao buns (lamb or tofu) to prosciutto, parmesan and ricotta pizzetta and heritage tomato salads, the food alone is worth a visit. And what better way to wash it down than with a seasonal bellini or a gin-based Meadow Collins cocktail, or even the Clays’ new competition winner, the Golden Hour?

Whether planning a birthday celebration, team building day, hen do or date night, make Clays your venue of choice. Its summer offerings will not disappoint –  we’ve highlighted just some of our favourites below.
