It’s no secret that, after a very lengthy Oscars ceremony (this year’s clocked in at around 4.5 hours), Hollywood’s biggest stars are more than ready to let their hair down. Whether celebrating this success (congrats Mikey Madison and the Anora team) or comiserating their losses, it simply would not do to simply go home after the Oscars. Step forward the Oscars 2025 after parties.

In general there are two hot tickets in town on Oscars nights: the Vanity Fair Oscars party, this year held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, and the Elton John AIDs Foundation party, at which celebs not lucky enough to actually get an invite to the Dolby Theatre can also watch the ceremony beforehand.

Of course, these being actors, a change of scene necessitates a change of costume – and at the Oscars 2025 after parties the stars were pulling it out of the bag with some serious couture looks. For women, the bridal aesthetic seen on the Oscars red carpet carried through, with many stars donning lacy, embellished gowns in hues of ivory, cream and light gold while, for men, the Oscars after parties offer a chance to step away from the traditional tux and into something a little more dancefloor ready.
