The stars turned out in force to celebrate the V&A's major new Cartier exhibition

To celebrate the opening of the V&A’s major new exhibition of Cartier watches and jewellery this weekend (12 April 2025), the museum welcomed a host of celebrities and style icons for two nights of festivities on 9 and 10 April.

The first major exhbition dedicated to Cartier’s archive of fine timepieces and jewels in more than 30 years, guests including Helen Mirren, Maya Jama and Joan Collins gathered at the V&A’s Sainsbury Gallery for a cocktail reception and private view of the exhibition on Wednesday night.

This was followed on Thursday evening by an intimate dinner attended by Cartier ambassadors and friends of the house, including Paul Mescal, Gemma Chan, Emma Corrin and David Jonsson (all, of course, dressed in Cartier finery), among other notable designers, artists, and musicians. After dinner, guests headed to the Raphael Court at the V&A for an enchanting acoustic set by James Bay and Holly Humberstone.
