See all the red carpet looks and insider images from the Fashion Awards 2024 — the Uk fashion industry's biggest night out of the year
The biggest night for the British fashion industry, the Fashion Awards 2024, took place last night at the Royal Albert Hall. Hosted by the British Fashion Council, in collaboration with Pandora, the evening saw 16 awards handed out to the biggest and brightest talents in the UK fashion.
Among the night’s biggest winners were Jonathan Anderson, who took home the Designer of the Year gong, Grace Wales Bonner and Simone Rocha — who scooped the British Menswear Designer and British Womenswear Designer awards respectively — and Tom Ford, winner of the 2024 Outstanding Achievement award.
There was, of course, plenty of red carpet action to take in aswell. The biggest surprise of the night came from an Rihanna’s unexpected arrival, with the star in attendance to see A$AP Rocky pick up the Cultural Innovator award, while model Alek Wek, actresses Nicola Coughlin and Ambika Mod and fashion darlings Alexa Chung and Laura Whitmore all braved London’s frosty December temperatures to serve serious looks.
On stage, Maya Jama and Kojey Radical took on MC duties, while Chloe and Halle Bailey entertained the crowd with a cover of the Bee Gees’ To Love Somebody — being only minorly upstaged by Debbie Harry, who delivered a surprise perfomance of Heart of Glass and I Feel Love. Post-show, the entire fashion crowd decamped to the Peninsula London hotel for the official afterparty which, resplendent in its festive decorations, kept the celebrations going until the small hours.
