Last night (25 November) famous friends of British heritage fashion brand Burberry came together at Claridge’s to toast the unveiling of creative director Daniel Lee’s Christmas tree for the famous five-star hotel.

Stars dressed in Burberry’s finest, and many of whom feature in the brand’s festive ‘Twas the Knight Before campaign, gathered in the hotel’s glamorous Art Deco Foyer and Reading Room to admire the tree, which is adorned with hundreds of Victorian-inspired velvet bows, alongside dried thistles and foliage inspired by Burberry’s British roots. The tree also features a new festive bauble created for Claridge’s by Burberry, each of which is hand-painted with the Claridge’s Bell Boy Teddy Bear dressed in a classic Burberry trench and scarf.

“Claridge’s has always felt like home from the moment you walk through its doors, a true symbol of elegance and British heritage where I’ve enjoyed many special moments over the years,” said Lee. “Being invited to design the hotel’s annual Christmas tree is a huge honour. I saw it as an opportunity to celebrate tradition and togetherness – expressing the season through vibrant colours and rich textures. Christmas is my favourite time of the year”.
