Experience life without boundaries

It may not be making its maiden voyage until 2029, but it’s full sails ahead when it comes to the development of ULYSSIA. The first superyacht of its kind, offering exceptional ocean living with five-star residences, first-class amenities and the world’s most exclusive ‘yacht community’ on board, this is not just a luxury yacht – it’s an entirely revolutionary way of living.
Envisioned by Swiss entrepreneur, billionaire and lifelong yachting enthusiast Frank Binder, ULYSSIA – an elegant 320-metre superyacht – brings luxury living to the high seas. Enlisting the expertise of leading naval architect Espen Øino to design this wildly impressive masterpiece, and historic shipyard MEYER YACHTS to build it, Binder, alongside CEO Alain Gruber and COO Renato W. Chizzola, has taken his pioneering idea and created something rather spectacular.
With ULYSSIA you no longer have to imagine waking up to luscious blue horizons and drifting off to red skies at night. You don’t need to dream of stepping afoot remote locations to see the most incredible wildlife or venturing out to far-flung sunny spots, no flight necessary. Instead, you can live amidst natural beauty, explore iconic destinations, and even access uncharted territories thanks to ULYSSIA’s partnership with EYOS Expeditions.
For those seeking adventure, the opportunity to immerse yourself in diverse cultures and landscapes and travel the seven seas without the rush, ULYSSIA has 133 luxurious residences that you can call home. Ultra-sophisticated and spacious, each apartment-style residence – which wouldn’t look out of place in Mayfair, Kensington or Chelsea – features stunning reception rooms, an open plan, fully-equipped modern kitchen, private terraces and, of course, breathtaking sea views.
Ranging from approximately 110 to 1,000 square metres in size, and available in one to six bedroom configurations (including family duplexes and 10 incredible penthouses), prices for residences on ULYSSIA start from 10 million euros. There are an additional 22 guest suites on the yacht which can be rented out as and when required to accommodate friends, family or visiting guests, too.
ULYSSIA’s interiors are led by internationally acclaimed Francesca Muzio, of FM Architettura. FM Architettura has previously worked on projects for Mandarin Oriental, Shangri-La and The Shard, with its work seen across more than 20 cities in 14 countries. Muzio says, “The main focus for the design of the amenities is to ensure they feel like home. The amenities and the public areas will be an extension of your home. This is so important.”
And, when it comes to those amenities, no detail will be left unchecked, with the offering second to none. Hospitality-wise, there are seven different restaurants plating up delicious dishes using locally sourced ingredients, plus a cigar bar, wine cellar, lounges and even an on board nightclub. ULYSSIA will also be home to a Chenot Spa, providing a holistic onboard wellness experience with deeply relaxing treatments, a full fitness studio and medical centre. There are also outdoor and indoor pools, a 600m running track and courts for padel tennis and pickleball, not to mention a hair and beauty salon, library, art studio, theatre and a youth programme providing entertainment and educational facilities for children. The list goes on.
Beyond luxurious living, both the community feel and philanthropy have been major considerations when creating ULYSSIA. The yacht will provide a hub to connect with others, as well as learning about and embracing the local cultures and communities visited. There will be expert speakers invited on board to educate residents about the places they have moored up in, offering a full understanding and deep immersion in each locale’s history, current events and future trends.
Gruber adds, “Our community enjoys a front-row seat to the remote places we visit, witnessing first-hand their challenges and issues. With the collective resources and wealth on board, our residents can generously contribute to local communities, whether through disaster relief, marine conservation or other forms of assistance. While experiencing exceptional adventures, services, accommodations and amenities, our community will leave a positive legacy. Philanthropy is at the core of our company’s values.”
Sustainability is also at the heart of ULYSSIA, with a design that will make it the most sustainable yacht ever built at delivery, and the team aiming to minimise its carbon footprint as much as possible when on the move. Systems using flex fuel options will be implemented, striving to use methanol as the primary fuel, marine gas oil as the secondary fuel, and biofuels when available. ULYSSIA will also use a mixture of solar power and emission-free battery, and advanced waste treatment solutions will be set up to maximise recycling and sustainability efforts.
Like we said, a completely revolutionary way of living.
ULYSSIA‘s build process will begin later in 2025 in Papenburg, Germany, with delivery expected in 2029. Discover more at ulyssia.com.
