Good news art aficionados, the London Art Fair is returning to the capital, taking over the Business Design Centre in Islington once again from 22-26 January 2025. Celebrating its 37th edition, the fair will host a spectacular line-up of impressive artwork from across the globe, presented by leading galleries and inspiring both seasoned and aspiring collectors.

Exhibiting works from more than 120 galleries from the UK and beyond, the fair invites you to connect with world-renowned and promising up-and-coming curators and discover a wonderful selection of modern and contemporary pieces in the heart of London. Plus, there will be an inspiring programme of talks and tours, panel discussions and artist insights for you to get stuck into, making this a truly immersive and stimulating creative experience, whether you’re an art connoisseur or a fresh-on-the-scene novice.

The London Art Fair will continue its Annual Museum Partnership this year, working with the much-celebrated Sainsbury Centre, which is showcasing its display Living Art at the fair. Home to an incredible collection of art and artefacts from ancient times to the present, the Sainsbury Centre’s display showcases a diverse range of artistic periods, styles and materials. “The Sainsbury Centre was founded with the radical idea of removing the barriers that exist between art and people, and between artworks themselves. We continue to honour that radical intent with everything we do and we can’t wait to showcase that at London Art Fair,” says Jago Cooper, director of the Sainsbury Centre.

Alongside Living Art, the official destination sponsor Visit Tampa Bay, will also exhibit a multi-sensory installation piece by commissioned artist Ya La’ford. The installation, Ebb and Flow: The Circle of Connection, explores Florida’s natural beauty and its connections to London and the rest of the world, encouraging visitors to reflect on the relationship between humans and nature. Elsewhere, Prints and Editions will be back for its second year after a highly successful launch in 2024, bringing an eclectic selection of prints from artists old and new – the already established household names and emerging talents to watch out for.

A feast for the eyes and senses, there is a whole lot to uncover at the London Art Fair, from prints and photography to textiles, ceramics and sculptures. Of the 120 (plus) galleries taking part, 22 are international, from Italy and The Netherlands to the Czech Republic and Japan, and several are brand new exhibitors this year, including Henry Miller Fine Art and The Tagli. The fair will also see annual returning galleries featuring works from some of the world’s favourite artists with the likes of Alberto Giacometti, Francis Bacon, Bridget Riley, and Barbara Hepworth. Don’t miss London-based galleries Alan Wheatley Art, Tin Man Art and Portland Gallery, as well as Modern British art galleries including Jenna Burlingham, Osborne Samuel and Willoughby Gerrish.

Entitled Today for you, tomorrow for me, she takes inspiration from the Peruvian practice of ayni, featuring art from six galleries which showcase themes of spirituality, healing and ecology.
